Add extra oxygen to the water with aerators
The pump can add extra oxygen to the water with an aerator. The aerator, with an air pipe to the water surface, is attached on the discharge side of the pump. The current flow caused by the thrust generated by the pump draws in oxygen through the air pipe. The air mixes with the water, thereby increasing the oxygen content. This technique is often applied by public authorities to prevent fish kill and algae growth on warm summer days. In addition, this application is used to aerate wastewater in water treatment plants and to create currents in stagnant water. Aerators are available for hire in three different sizes, specifically 6”, 8” and 10”. Would you like advice on aerating liquids? Please contact one of our specialists on + 31 (0)180 - 69 69 69.
