Addition to the rental fleet: new flow meters with a cage frame

Eekels Pompen recently added new electromagnetic flow meters to its rental fleet. This new type of flow meter is housed in a cage frame to provide better protection when installed.

The new flow meters are equipped with galvanized cage frames to protect them more effectively against damage. The frames are manufactured in 2 sizes: 630 x 440 x 690 mm and 780 x 600 x 830 mm. The flow meters are positioned as low as possible in frames to ensure accurate measurement.

The measuring head is mounted inside a metal box for even more protection. The box can be locked with a padlock if necessary. The flanges are positioned entirely inside the frame. So there is enough space to mount pipes.

Electromagnetic meters

An electromagnetic flow meter works by measuring the speed of flow based on a small electric voltage change. This voltage is generated by the flow of the liquid through an electromagnetic field and a sensor measures the changes. The advantage of this system is that you can measure the flow accurately without placing moving parts in the liquid.

Battery-operated meters plus their frames are available in sizes from 4 to 10 inches, and mains-powered units (230V) are available in 10-inch and 12-inch models. For more information, contact our specialist here.
