Eekels at Tomorrowland 2017

Every year, the Tomorrowland festival is held in Boom (Belgium). And this year, Eekels was once again called on to handle the pumping work.

Tomorrowland is one the most popular festivals in the world and is considered to the Valhalla for dance, trance and techno. This year’s festival was spread out over two weekends and attracted 270,000 individual visitors. With such a huge number of visitors, problem-free sewage disposal is crucial. To ensure this, Eekels used its in-house transport to deliver a pump system to the festival venue. The pump system consisted of two Betsy 100 units with several metres of spiral hose and a pipe bridge that was 4.2 metres high and 12 metres wide. To report possible faults, we fitted the pumps with a GSM alarm unit.
