Service as usual, including coronavirus changes and measures

The coronavirus continues to spread, bringing with it uncertainty about the future. This challenge has led to the implementation of various measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees as well as our customers. We would like to inform you of the actions we are taking, both visible and behind the scenes, so that you can continue to hire our pump equipment and benefit from the technical service support you are accustomed to receiving from us.

Operational accessibility

Our sites in Barendrecht, Zwolle and Chemelot all remain physically open and accessible by telephone. Our business hours remain unchanged, and we are still available 24/7. If you would like to collect or return pump equipment, please comply with the safe distance guideline (1.5 metres) when interacting with our colleagues. The same applies to our field fitters and drivers working at your location. Everyone on our team has been informed of the necessary hygiene measures. We also request your understanding for any order processing delays resulting from these unforeseen circumstances.

Digital communication

Starting last week Monday (16 March), our account managers and technical specialists actively started to implement a policy designed to minimise physical visits. These visits will only occur by mutual agreement. Of course, we can still be reached by telephone or by email to provide all the pump advice you need. If you would like more in-depth information from one of our colleagues, we can always set up a meeting via Microsoft Teams or another method of communication. These convenient tools make it easy for us to start a video conference and share large files, such as drawings, with you. Our website remains accessible 24/7 for requesting quotations.

 Delivery, return and service slips procedure

During this period, the delivery, return and service slips no longer require a signature. Our drivers and fitters will leave a copy or duplicate of these slips at your location. If you have any comments or suggestions related to these deliveries, returns or service visits, please send an email to info@eekels.eu. If we do not receive a reaction, we will assume that you have approved the quantities delivered or services provided as stated on the slips.

Other measures

We closely monitor all the information published by the RIVM and have carefully implemented the recommended measures. This means that:

  • our employees work from home, if possible;
  • as much distance as possible has been created between workspaces;
  • we are working in shifts;
  • our colleagues do not eat lunch together;
  • we do not allow meetings between groups of people;
  • strict hygiene measures have been implemented, including hand washing, extra cleaning, sufficient ventilation of the workspaces and no handshakes.

Stronger together

Despite these restrictions, we continue to do our job: providing high-quality pump equipment for our customers. Even in these extraordinary times, just as we have for the past 100 years. We, our customers and our suppliers have always weathered the storm in the past and come out even stronger. Our 60 colleagues continue to work extremely hard to give you the best service possible.
