Certification

Safety is considered vitally important by Eekels Pompen. So we always ensure that our pump equipment is inspected and certified and that our staff have the right qualifications. With good reason, because when you hire pump systems to customers in industrial and the public sector, those systems have to be completely reliable and safe. We keep accurate records of equipment inspections and certification, and train our staff to Eekels’ high standards. The requirements we set for our organisation to ensure the best offer of pumps and service are explained in greater detail below.

Pump equipment

To guarantee pump safety, each pump is thoroughly checked between projects. There is a specific inspection form for each pump type. Does the pump meet all the requirements? Only then will the pump be approved for delivery. If not, the pump goes back to the workshop immediately for further examination and repairs.

All certified hoses are inspected annually. These are hoses are made from rubber, stainless steel or composite materials, which are suitable for corrosive, aggressive or hot liquids. Among other tests, the inspection involves pressure-testing the hoses to detect leaks.

Staff

We want to provide optimal service, so all our employees must have the right level of expertise. This is why our pump specialists are all experienced and highly trained. After a basic training programme, we offer our employees the opportunity of further study and training so that they can develop in their field. Our technical staff must have specific certificates, which we have listed below.

All technical employees with a management role have a Safety for Operational Supervisors SCC certificate (VCA-VOL).

Each technician must have:

  • the SCC Basic certificate (VCA-Basis);
  • a forklift truck proficiency certificate.

Fitters who work in the field must also have:

  • the ABvL certificate indicating proficiency in rigging and guiding suspended loads;
  • certificates indicating compliance with site safety standards for various customers in the petrochemical sector.

Electrical fitters (in the workshop and in the field) must also have the NEN 3140 certificate.

Our truck drivers have:

  • a TCVT hoisting proficiency certificate for truck-mounted cranes;
  • certificates indicating compliance with site safety standards for various customers in the petrochemical sector.
