Eekels installs circulation pump system for sewage pumping station in Horst

At the end of January 2016, a large construction company based in Rosmalen started work on a project at the sewage pumping station in Horst on behalf of Waterschapbedrijf Limburg, the local water board. The pumping station is located on the outskirts of the Vondersestraat residential area close to the viaduct under the A73 motorway, halfway between Venray and Venlo. In addition to repairing manholes and pipes, the water board also wanted to place a new protective liner inside the sewer. Eekels contributed to the work by setting up a bypass system.

Extra safety with Hidrostal pumps

The system, which includes pipework, consists of 4 frequency-controlled Hidrostal F10K pumps; universeel toepasbare submersible sewage pumps, which are both economical to run and suitable for large and small capacities. The sewer pumping station in Horst has a capacity of 1,340 m3/h of sewage water on its discharge side.

The bypass has been set up as a redundant system for extra safety and also communicates with our emergency service to ensure immediate action if faults arise in the system. The power supply for the bypass system is provided by generators from RECO, our equipment partner.
