Emergency job: disaster-response system for polder pumping station

One Friday afternoon in June, we received a request by telephone. Following a major failure, a surface water pumping station had stopped working entirely and would remain non-operational for a long time. By responding quickly and appropriately, Eekels was able to install a temporary pump system on a very tight deadline. In fact, the complete temporary pump system was operational that same Friday evening.

Equipment supplied:

The pump system pumps the polder water around the existing pumping station through a bypass.

Rapid service

It was a challenge, but thanks to the short lines of communication between our specialists, we could respond to the situation quickly. We quickly calculated what was needed for the system. Then the pumps were tested, our transport service brought the equipment to the location, and our installation crew immediately installed everything and commenced operations.

Thanks to our rapid response, potential flood damage for the neighbouring residents was avoided, especially since more than 40 mm of rain fell that same night.
